Melissa holds a Bachelor of Education in Physical Education and has numerous years experience teaching Prep to Year 12.

She has been teaching learn to swim since 1991 and has the following swimming and assessor qualifications:
  • Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety;
  • Teacher of Infant and Preschool Aquatics;
  • Teacher of Towards Competitive Strokes;
  • Austswim Assessor;
  • Level 1 Royal Lifesaving Examiner.

Melissa as well as teaching, oversees the curriculum development of teacher training.

Ramsay Swim prides itself on a staff training program that ensures all swimmers are taught by highly trained teachers.

All teachers new to Ramsay Swim undergo extensive training which includes class observations, buddy teaching, theory practices and internal assessments before they teach their own classes.

All staff receive ongoing training and mentoring to ensure they are kept up to date with industry best practices.
